Mamangam promo song: Mammootty's aura, magnificent sets and stunning visuals


Mamangam is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated film of megastar Mammootty. While the movie is gearing up for release, the makers have been boasting it as a period drama which is set to redefine Malayalam cinema.

Looks like the makers have promised a visual spectacle with Mamangam and the latest promo song is a proof that something big will grace the theaters soon. The 3 minutes-long promo song features behind the scenes of the movie and looks stunning. With the grandeur sets and star aura, expectations are definitely riding high.

Directed by M Padmakumar, Mamangam has been dubbed in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and will have a record release. The online bookings have started from December 6, Friday and trade pundits claim for a record opening for Mammootty-starrer. The trailer had already fetched rave reviews.

Mamangam will see Mammootty in the role of the bravest warrior in the history of the Mamankam festival held during the 17th century. Though Mammootty was earlier seen in similar roles in Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja and Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, the actor recently revealed that his character in Mamangam is entirely different from his earlier roles.

It is being dubbed as the costliest Malayalam film ever made till date.

Achuthan B Nair and Unni Mukundan play pivotal role in the movie. It also has Siddique, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Anu Sithara, Sudev Nair, Manikandan Achari, Meghanathan, Sunil Sukhada, Suresh Krishna, Iniya, etc. in the supporting roles.

Shankar Ramakrishnan has penned the adaptive screenplay, Manoj Pillai is the director of photography while the movie is produced by Venu Kunnappilly for Kavya Films.
