Thalolam: A lullaby conceived by a son for his mother

A mother singing a lullaby while rocking her baby in a soft and harmonious tone is a tradition of our culture. In what may surprise you, here's a lullaby made by a son for his mother.

Malayalam playback singer and composer Arun Alat has come up with a lullaby that will take you back to your childhood. Interestingly, Arun's mother Sathyabhama has crooned the song passed on to her by the generations of mothers.

Titled Thalolam, the song is soothing and picturizes how a mother puts her little one to sleep.

“I have been listening to this song from many members of my family. So, when I decided to start off my YouTube channel, I wanted that it should begin with my mother. So, that's how I zeroed this song for release,” said Arun.

Arun pointed that he had been getting positive responses and that his mother's voice had been specially mentioned by many.

While Dinkar Lal has been in-charge of the illustration, Rex George was the one behind the piano.
