Mohanlal remembers MG Radhakrishnan on musician's death anniversary

Actor Mohanlal has taken to his social media handle, remembering late musician MG Radhakrishnan. The composer passed away on 2 July 2010.

Mohanlal shared a note posted by singer Unni Menon. The singer, picked Mohanlal-starrer 'Devasuram' directed by IV Sasi and wrote how MG Radhakrishnan is imprinted in the hearts of every Malayalis.

He also mentioned about the iconic scene, where Peringodan played by Oduvil Unnikrishnan comes to meet Mangalassery Neelakandan played by Mohanlal. And Peringodan sings ‘Vande Mukunda Hare’ in a divine voice drumming his Idakka (hourglass-shaped drum) which was originally crooned by MG Radhakrishnan. Unni Menon also shared a rendition of himself singing the lines.

Radhakrishnan died from liver-related ailments. He was less than a month short of his 70th birthday when he died. 

It was last month that his wife Padmaja too passed away after suffering a heart attack.
