SP Balasubrahmanyam tests positive for COVID-19, singer says he's fine

Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam on Wednesday revealed that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He is said to have been admitted to a private hospital in Choolaimedu.

In a video shared on his Facebook page, SPB mentioned that he had fever, a cold and chest congestion initially and wanted to get tested for COVID-19.

The test results came back positive and the doctors advised him home quarantine and medications. However, he decided to get admitted to a private hospital as his family members were also concerned.

The singer said that his fever has subsided and he now has a cold. SPB is hopeful that his symptoms will go away in two days. He further added that he is in good hands and that the doctors are taking good care of him.

SPB also requested his friends not to call him to check on him as he is doing perfectly fine and is confident of getting discharged soon.

Recently, SPB and legendary lyricist Vairamuthu joined hands for a song on the novel coronavirus.
