Onam@online.com is a retrospective with regard to the changing times

Onam is an occasion of get-together, fun and games but with seasonal floods and a pandemic since the last few years Keralites are forced to celebrate the harvest festival in their houses.

The COVID-19 pandemic has in fact moved Onam celebrations into the virtual space.

The long-established culture of family get-togethers and preparing Onam sadhya together is changing. Gone are the days when children go out to fetch flowers and create floral carpets. Gone are the days when elders help the kids in making the swings on the branches of trees. When everything is just a click away with online calls and online shopping - the celebrations have acquired an altogether different meaning for chikdren.

The changing habits of people is well captured in the musical video Onam@online.com conceived by Cyriac KJ.

Gokul P has penned and composed the song while Jewel Mary Reji has crooned the song apart from featuring in the video.
