Music director Bijibal expressed solidarity with Thaikkudam Bridge Band who alleged that Kannada film 'Kantara's ‘Varaha Roopam’ was copied from their composition. “Since they are not capable of doing it themselves they copy the works of talented people. We call this plagiarism in plain and simple words,”—Bijibal had quipped on Facebook.

The song ‘Varaha Roopam,’ in the Rishab Shetty-directed 'Kantara' has already garnered over 10 million views. But shortly they were hit by plagiarism charges when popular music band Thaikkudam Bridge alleged that the makers had borrowed it from their Navarasa song. They are also planning to take the Kantara makers to court.

Meanwhile, the music director of 'Kantara' B Ajaneesh Loknath responded to the plagiarism charges. He denied copying and observed the similarity could be attributed to the fact that both songs were made on the same raga. Sai Vignesh is the singer of ‘Varaha Roopam.’
