‘Ekanthathayude Mahatheeram’ from ‘Neelavelicham’ will leave you mesmerised

The second song of Aashiq Abu’s ‘Neelavelicham’ is out. The song ‘Ekanthathayude Maharatheeram’ is the remake of the original song from the movie 'Bhargavi Nilayam', which was originally composed by M S Baburaj. Playback singer Shahabaz Aman has sung the new version, which was earlier crooned by Kamukara Purushothaman with lyrics by P Bhaskaran.

The makers had released the film’s first song ‘Anuraga Madhuchashakam' a few weeks ago. Chithra had given a beautiful spin to Janaki's original rendition and received a lot of praise on social media.

Aashiq Abu’s ‘Neelavelicham’ is the re-adaptation of A Vincent’s film ‘Bhargavi Nilayam’, which got released in 1964. All the songs have been recreated by Bijibal and Rex Vijayan while Madhu Paul is the keyboardist. The film stars Rima Kallingal, Tovino Thomas, Roshan Mathew, and Shine Tom Chacko.

‘Bhargavi Nilayam’ directed by A Vincent (his debut directorial) starring Madhu, Vijaya Nirmala, Prem Nazir, and P J Antony traces the story of a writer who shifts to a mansion called Bhargavi Nilayam only to realise that it is haunted. The daughter of the house, Bhargavi had a love affair with a poet and singer. But eventually both die. The writer decides to write her story and even reads out the story to the ghost. How he eventually unravels the story of Bhargavi and her lover forms the crux of the narrative.
