'Darshana' beats 'Jimmiki Kamal' as most viewed Malayalam song on YouTube

'Darshana' from Vineeth Sreenivasan's blockbuster film 'Hridayam' has beaten Jimikki Kamal as the most viewed song on YouTube. The song, which got released in 2021, has currently clocked over 110 million views (110,965,388) on YouTube. Entammede Jimikki Kamal, from the movie 'Velipadinte Pusthakam', which hit theatres in 2017, follows close behind with 110,842,590 views.

Both the songs had created waves during the time of it's release. Jimmiki Kamal, which was composed by Shaan Rahman and sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan and Renjith Unni, is a hugely peppy track and had made history by becoming the first Malayalam song to attain 30 million views on YouTube in a very short gap. The college versions of the song, especially the video featuring a group of teachers, had gone viral in no time.

'Darshana' is a romantic track, which was composed and sung by award-winning composer Hesham Abdul Wahab. It became an immediate fan favourite upon it's release. Netizens have appreciated Vineeth Sreenivasan for being an integral part of both songs.
