James Gunn's much-awaited superhero film 'Superman' starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan is all set to release in theatres this week. As a tribute to the Indian audience, Warner Bros India released a two-minute theme music track featuring Indian artists on various instruments. The music has been arranged by Tushar Lall who has also played the harmonium in the track. The orchestration is by Abin Thomas, while the sarangi is played by Sandeep Mishra, sitar (Prasad Rahane), flute (Hrishikesh Majumdar), and dhol (Pratik Kawale).
The video has received over 70,000 views with many appreciating Warner Bros for the initiative. The new film includes Superman's four-legged sidekick, a superpowered dog named Krypto first introduced in a 1955 comic. The latest version is based on Gunn's real-life, misbehaving rescue mutt.
Warner Bros is counting on 'Superman' to start a new era at DC Studios, which has failed to match the superhero success of Walt Disney-owned Marvel. Gunn, who made the 'Guardians' movies for Marvel, was named co-CEO of DC Studios, alongside producer Peter Safran, in 2022.
