Popular rapper Vedan, who recently won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Lyricist, has announced his plans to get married this month. Vedan confirmed the date of his marriage during the Happiness Festival, organised by the Kerala government at Dharmadam in Kannur, as part of the Local Self-Government Day celebrations.

CPM state secretary M V Govindan, who welcomed Vedan to the stage with a garland, first announced details about Vedan’s marriage. Vedan confirmed the news and said he does not have plans to hold an extravagant wedding, opting instead for a simple registered marriage. The event will take place in Thrissur on February 24. “Just like mash (M V Govindan) said, I plan to get married on February 24 at the registrar’s office. I seek all your blessings on this auspicious occasion," he said.

Vedan’s fiance Navami Latha is a writer. She is often seen accompanying Vedan in public, and was also by his side at the Kerala State Film Awards ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram. Vedan has previously posted pictures with her on his Instagram.

The couple's relationship has been the subject of public attention, especially after Vedan released the song ‘Mona Lova,’ which he revealed he wrote as a gift for his girlfriend, comparing her to a volcanic mountain. The song was a huge sensation in Kerala. Vedan received the Kerala State Film Award for his song "Kuthanthram" from the film Manjummel Boys. His latest album, Ennakaruppi, has also been a big hit.
