When Kareena Kapoor joined renowned dietitian Rujuta Diwekar to chat with a few pregnant women about their diets, it was fun, informative and even lead to be an eye-opener of a conversation.

Unlike popular stereotypes, the actress said that she did not crave for chocolate and pastries. What she felt like eating was the bitter gourd! She maintained that it wasn't an acquired taste, and that she had always liked the taste of the bitter veggie.

The actress also said that she has been asking for more of homemade Indian sweets than chocolates. Advocates of Indian food, both the dietician and the actress said that in India, people who swear by quinoa and chia seeds are on the rise and that is mostly because we expect the Western countries to tell us what to eat. They said that one's diet should always be set with an eye on geography, cultivation and trade. People should consume what they have been eating for generations and what is available in their markets.

Interacting with the moms-to-be, Kareena also discussed what she includes in her diet and what comprises her daily meals.
