Shwetha Menon's taste buds croon a delightful number

Finally, salt and pepper seem to have rubbed off on Shwetha Menon as well, for the former beauty queen turned actress, who played an amiable character in Aashiq Abu's _Salt N' Pepper_ is hopping right into the buzzing restaurant industry in Dubai with 'Shwe's Delight'. Under her guidance, the Dubai Lamcy Plaza will see the opening of 'Shwe's Delight' on April 23. “It's the realisation of a dream that's as old as 20 years,” Shwetha tells Onmanorama. “I love food. Although I have a crush on all things native in food, I enjoy anything well-made,” says the actress. “While on the sets of a movie, I don't eat from there. I take my own cook with me, so I can discuss my food with him.” “Dubai is one of my favourite places. It's the meeting point of a lot of food cultures, and the hope is that Shwe's Delight will offer an all new experience.” Shwe's restaurant will accommodate 80 customers at a time. Easy on the pockets, as it claims, the restaurant will cater to varied food interests. Many a celebrity has in the past opened restaurants and subsequently shut them down too. But Shwetha seems quite confident of this new venture.
