Food to tide you over flood distress

Times of calamity harbour fear of diseases. And to stay healthy during times of distress it is not only important to maintain hygiene but also to eat right. Lack of resources may hamper your regular kitchen activities but that should not stop you from balancing your nutrient intake. Here are a few food items that you can stock-up.

Salted/canned fish

Preferably, tuna for its high nutrient content. But do not consume canned items that have stayed unrefrigerated for 48 hours or more.

Nuts

Any variety of nut that is easy to use will be helpful. Nuts are excellent storehouse of energy and have long shelf-life.
