Kottayam: This year, the famed food festival of Kottayam will be held by the Round Table in association with online food delivery giant Swiggy. The food fest will be conducted online from 4 -8 August, adhering to the pandemic protocols.
The food would be distributed within 15 kilometres radius of Kottayam town. Food could be ordered from 8 am to 8pm from Wednesday onwards. Besides, 22 famous hotels in Kottayam, 4 internationally acclaimed hotel brands and food chains too would be part of this year's food fest. Beharus biryani, Biriyani Life, Dindigul Talappakatty biryani and noted pizza brand Oven Story are these brands that make an entry into the food festival.
Besides their signature dishes, the 22 hotels are likely to introduce some food fest special items too. You could choose from a variety of cuisines and dishes including biryanis, burgers, pizzas, barbecue, ice creams, pastries, Chinese cuisine and sea food. Food could be booked using the special Kottayam food fest page in the Swiggy app. Convener Mathew T Luke said that the food would be delivered to the customers’ door steps.
