Rum and raisins cake

Ingredients

200 gms maida
200 gms butter
250 gms sugar powder
1.5 tsp baking powder
4 eggs
1.5 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup raisins 
1 cup rum

Preparation

Soak raisins in rum at least overnight

Sieve maida with baking powder

Beat butter and sugar powder till light and fluffy

Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla essence

Now fold in the maida

Add the soaked raisins and mix well

Pour into a greased and lined tray

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-40 minutes.
