Sausage mummies

Sausage mummies are the perfect minimal dish to send a chill down your guests' spine. These absolutely crunchy easily remind one of the creepy undead ancient Egyptian mummies with their white bandages. You can either pair it with a mayonnaise or some mustard dip, or you can go for some tomato ketchup to bring the bleeding effect.

Ingredients
8 sausages
2 tbsp oil
1 sheet pastry
1 egg, beaten

16 candy eyes

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan and fry the sausages
When they turn light brown, transfer to a plate
Let it cool
Preheat the oven to 220 C
using a long knife or pastry cutter, cut thin long pastry strips
Wrap 3 strips each around the sausages like a bandage
Leave some space unwrapped for face
Place them on a baking tray and refrigerate for 10 minutes
Brush the pastry wrap with the beaten egg
Cook them in the oven for 20 minutes
Place two candy eyes on each of the wraps

Serve with the dip of your choice
