The masala part is often considered the best feature of Indian cuisine. Among them, garam masala is crowned the king – with it's rich flavour, aroma and the myriad of uses. Here is how to easily make flavoursome and aromatic garam masala at home.
1 tbsp cardamom
1 tbsp cloves
1 inch cinnamon stick
2 tbsp fennel seeds
2 tbsp cumin seeds
2 bay leaves
1 star anise
Toast the ingredients for up to 30 seconds-1 minute
After it has cooled down, powder them in a mixer jar
Store the garam masala in air tight containers.
