Wondering what to do with your leftover puttu? Transform it into another nutritious, yummy and easy-to-make upma that also looks quite appetising. All you need are some vegetables and spices, and the super healthy upma is ready! You can have it without any accompaniments or even with curries or fruits of your choice.

Ingredients
1 ½ cups puttu
½ cup shallots
2 green chillies
½ cup tomato
¼ cup carrot
¼ cup beans
¼ cup cabbage
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¾ tsp chilli powder
½ tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
2 dried chilies
2 tsp oil
Curry leaves
Salt as required

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan
Splutter the mustard seeds, urad dal, dried chilies and curry leaves
Sauté shallots and green chilies
Add tomato and sauté
Now add turmeric powder and chili powder
Mix well
Into it add chopped carrot, beans, cabbage and salt
Mix until the veggies are cooked
Finally add the puttu
Give everything a good mix
Cook for five more minutes on low flame
Delicious vegetable upma is ready.
