Incidentally, Malayalam moviegoers would have noticed this method in the film ‘Thilakkam’, which has a scene where actress Kavya Madhavan's character prepares such a sandwich for Dileep's character Unni. Here's how you go about it.
Ingredients
Sliced bread
Butter
Cheese
Oregano
Chilli flakes
Butter paper
Iron box
Preparation
Spread butter on a bread slice
Place a piece of cheese and sprinkle chill flakes and oregano over the bread slice
Apply butter on another bread slice and place it over the first slice to make a sandwich
Wrap the sandwich with butter paper
Switch on an iron box and heat both sides of the sandwich until it turns golden-brown in colour
The easy-to-make toasted sandwich prepared without a toaster or over is ready
