In the hustle and bustle of modern life, where both partners work full time, it’s easy to forget many seemingly trivial things, making your life strenuous. For instance, it’s common for households to forget to soak grains in advance to prepare dosa batter. No worries! You can still make instant wheat flour dosas without rice, and that too in just five minutes. And you don’t even need a curry to savour it. Here’s the tempting breakfast recipe: -

Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
¼ cup of diced big onion
¼ cup of diced carrot
2 cups of water
¼ cup grated coconut
1 green chilli (cut into smaller pieces)
1 bunch chopped coriander leaves
½ teaspoon chilli flakes

Preparation
Put the wheat flour in a big vessel and add water, salt, and grated coconut
Mix well to form a batter-like paste
If it is too thick, add a little water
Add chopped green chilli, big onion, carrot, and coriander leaves, besides dried chilli powder and turmeric powder
Stir and mix well
Heat a non-stick griddle or dosa tawa on medium-high heat
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot griddle and spread it in a circular motion
Drizzle some ghee and cook the dosa until the bottom turns golden brown
Flip the dosa and similarly cook the other side
Serve it hot
