Drumstick chicken: A fun, simple snack to enjoy this Christmas season

Drumstick chicken is a predictable dish on any feast table but regardless, everybody grabs a piece in no time. However, not every drumstick chicken preparation is the same as the taste can be extremely different depending on the marination. Here's a simple, spicy yet hearty drumstick chicken preparation that can win over your guests this Christmas. You can pair it with an appam or chapathi also, if you like dry accompaniments with them.

Ingredients
10 chicken legs
3 cups of oil
1 cup rice powder
3 sprigs of curry leaves
5 red chillies
To make the paste:
2 pieces of ginger
2 bulbs of garlic
5 onions
2 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
½ tbsp yellow turmeric powder
½ tbsp pepper powder
1 tsp garam masala
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt to taste

Preparation
Clean the chicken pieces thoroughly and dry them
Blend the ingredients to make a paste in a mixer
Apply the paste to the dry chicken pieces and keep aside for two hours
Take oil in a pan and heat it
Apply the rice powder to the marinated chicken pieces and fry them in the hot oil
After frying the chicken, fry the curry leaves and red chillies in the same oil
Spread the curry leaves and red chillies over the chicken
Now it's ready to be served
