India's Health Minister JP Nadda was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences after he experienced uneasiness on Thursday. As per reports, he is currently stable and has undergone multiple tests, including a coronary angiography. He is under observation in the cardiology department.

What is coronary angiography
A coronary angiography, or angiogram, is performed to check whether a person has blocked or narrowed blood vessels around their heart. It is generally recommended to evaluate for heart disease, including whether a person needs bypass surgery or stents. It is also recommended to check the cause of any chest pain and investigate abnormal heart test results.

Nadda's fitness journey
JP Nadda has also been on a weight-loss journey for the past few years. In 2024, he had famously lost about 17 kg in six months. According to reports, he was taking only two meals per day and following a rigorous exercise regimen as well. A few months ago, the minister revealed at an event how he had reduced his weight and changed his lifestyle through a disciplined routine. "One shouldn't go in the direction of the dining table in the evening," said Nadda, when asked for a few fitness tips. He also said that when under stress, he opts for water or black coffee instead of more food.
