Thrissur: The Thrissur District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) squad arrested two youths on Monday and seized 13 kilograms of ganja from a KSRTC bus on the Mannuthy-Vadakkenchery National Highway here.

The arrested are Jaison Babu (22) from Angamaly and Joju Joshi (19) from Karukutty. The ganja, transported from Andhra Pradesh, was concealed in seven parcels packed into two bags.

Acting on a tip-off received by the Thrissur Police Commissioner, the DANSAF team intercepted the bus at Mudikkode and apprehended the suspects. The accused were handed over to the Peechi police for further investigation.
