Thiruvananthapuram: Puthuppally MLA Chandy Oommen has voiced his dissatisfaction with handling the Palakkad byelection campaign, claiming he was sidelined while others were assigned roles.

"I thought it was better not to address this earlier. Even now, I am not saying much. I only went to Palakkad for a single day during the campaign. The leadership must prioritise unity and move forward by bringing everyone together," he said.

Chandy also clarified that he does not support calls for K Sudhakaran's resignation as KPCC president, stating such discussions should not even take place. He stressed the importance of inclusivity and underscored the need for greater representation of young leaders in the party's restructuring efforts.
