Iritty: Noted snake catcher Faisal Vilakkod has caught over 3200 snakes including 87 king cobras from the area within one and half years. He ensures the wellbeing of the snakes he catches before releasing them into the forest. Faisal even caught a python and a king cobra on the same day from different spots recently, taking the total count to 3200. Faisal who is a temporary employee at the forest department and a Mark worker and his team is always a phone call away, saving them from the deadly reptiles. He says that he will reach the spot at anywhere in the high ranges at any time. 

A few days ago, Faisal caught a python from Ali’s house at 12th ward in Muzhakunnu panchayat. Faisal was alerted as soon as the snake was found lurking in the bedroom. Besides, a cobra was also caught from the bathroom at a house in Pala, Kakkayangad. Faisal has often faced extremely dangerous situations while catching snakes. He usually releases the snakes in the deep forest. Faisal says that he feels proud and happy to ensure the safety of the common people.
