Kottayam: Students of MGM NSS Higher Secondary School, Lakkattoor in Kooroppada panchayat have transformed waste materials into an impressive array of handicrafts,  from miniature vehicles to delicate butterflies.

The exhibition showcased their creativity and craftsmanship, featuring standout pieces that included piggy banks made from coconut shells, a portrait of a girl etched on a banyan leaf, and even a locker fashioned entirely out of paper. The rice-grain butterflies, in particular, captivated visitors with their intricate detail.

The creations were crafted using everyday waste materials such as paper, plastic covers, coconut shells, and cardboard. The initiative was guided by teachers Swapna B Nair, M G Gireesh, and Rahul K Soman.
