Changanassery: A team of students from Japan has arrived in Changanassery to experience the sights and way of life in Changanassery and Kuttanad. The group, from Sophia University in Japan, is visiting St Berchmans College (SB College) to gain an up-close understanding of Kerala’s culture and heritage.

The visit is part of the Kerala Study Programme 2025, jointly organised by SB College and Assumption College in association with Sophia University. Classes on various subjects were conducted for the visiting students, with a student delegation from SB College also joining them.

As part of their itinerary, the team enjoyed a houseboat trip and toured villages around Kuttanad and Changanassery. The Japanese students were accorded a warm reception under the leadership of SB College principal Dr Teddy Kanjooparambil. Programme convenors Dr Ranjith Thomas, Dr Nidhin Varghese, George Mathew and Dr George George coordinated the events.
