Idukki: A middle-aged man was found dead by the roadside at Rajakumari in Idukki on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Ramesh (56), a resident of Molekudi, Manjakuzhi, Rajakumari.

Local residents discovered the body this morning along the Manjakuzhi–Vathukapp road. The body was found lying face down. A sickle was also recovered from the spot by the police. However, no external injuries or wounds were visible on the body.

Shantanpara Police have initiated proceedings. The body will be sent for post-mortem examination after the inquest.

According to police, Ramesh had been living alone for the past two years. The body was found just 30 meters away from his house. He was reportedly suffering from epilepsy. Police have launched an investigation.
