Palakkad: Rahul Mangoottathil MLA, on Wednesday flagged off the first KSRTC bus service from the Palakkad-Gudalur route, to be operated from the Palakkad depot. The service will run via Mannarkad, Vazhikadavu, and Nilambur.

The bus departs from Palakkad at 7.45 AM daily, reaching Gudallur by 12.20 PM. On the return journey, it leaves Gudalur at 1.30 PM and arrives in Palakkad by 6.05 PM.

Rahul Mangoottathil said the service was allocated following his direct appeal to the Transport Minister, highlighting consistent demand from passengers for a direct bus service between Palakkad and Gudalur. He also stated that KSRTC plans to launch more inter-state services in the coming days.

District Transport Officer Joshy John and employees’ union office bearers Santosh Kumar and Ravi Kannadi were also present at the event.
