Pearl is one among the ‘navaratnas’ (nine gems), each of which is related to a celestial object (navagraha). In the case of pearl, it is with the Moon that its special relationship exists. Moon is believed to influence psychiatric conditions and menstrual disorders. As a result, pearl helps a person wearing it overcome mental stress and reduce marital discord.

Another benefit of pearl is helping people who are confused by indecision resolve matters quickly. Pearl offers more advantages. It improves memory and concentration. Naturally, candidates preparing for exams can wear the gem.

Pearl is also known to improve the quality of a marital relationship by deepening the understanding and love between partners.

It has been noticed that a person wearing pearl would be able to identify and keep away from undesirable people.

Another group that would find pearl a blessing comprises people who may have to approach hospitals. They would observe that compassion and care they received from the medical institutions would now be more.

Pearl is suitable for people having the ‘lagnas’ of Karkidakam, Medam, Vrischikam and Meenam.

How and when can you wear pearl? The ideal days are Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays as well as when the star of the day is ‘Rohini’, ‘Atham’ or ‘Thuruvonam’. It is on the ring finger that pearl has to be worn.
