In a corner of a traffic-beaten Kochi, there is a blinding array of rich, shimmery lehengas and sherwanis being set up for Kalyan Jewellers M4Marry Wedding Week 2018. The first day of the fashion week will start off with the show-casing of award-winning designer Anju Modi's collection.
The charm of these regal attires can only be matched by the lineup of India's stunning top models. Diversity is as evident as beauty in this group. There is Naomi Campbell of India, Noyonika Chatterjee, who is a veteran supermodel and pioneer in breaking stereotypes in India.
She started her modelling career at the of 13 in the early 90's and continues to be the top choice for many designers.
There are international faces like Sonalika Sahay who has posed for Dior watches in India.
There's also room for grooms at this wedding fashion week. Saud Khan, an upcoming model, is super excited to be in Kochi and is floored by the hyper fashion sense of the city. "The people here are extremely nice to you and I honestly didn't expect it to be so developed. This might turn out to be one of my favourite cites," he says.
You might remember the charming face of Kiara Advani, from the recent biographical film on MS Dhoni where she played his wife, Sakshi. Kiara is all primed and peppy to be the showstopper at Tarun Tahilani's show on Saturday.
Other leading faces to be spotted on the ramp are Sony Kaur, Hemangi Parhte, Aditi Mishra, Laxmi Rana, Pooja Bahamrah, Anita Kumar, Nayana Arrippa, Archana Akhil Kumar, and Rewati Chetri.
The greenroom is bustling with zest, glamour, glitter, and like an any other grand show, anxiety. All building up to a magnificent show.
