He has designed apparels for almost all stars in Malayalam tinsel town from Mammootty, Mohanlal to Kunchacko Boban, Anu Sithara and so on. His unparalleled skill of draping film artists in tango with the narrative and the backdrop has made him a name to reckon with.

For him, Arun Manohar finds it most comfortable in jeans and T-shirt as the sporty attire is preferred by most working in films.

''I mostly use a pair of shoes as it is more comfortable during my work. In terms of style quotient, I think footwear is very important as it speaks volumes of the character and taste of a person," Arun says.

Though there are close to 80 films for which Arun has done costumes, it is the film 'Pulimurugan' that has won him laurels more than any other.

"People everywhere now identify me as the costume designer of Pulimurugan," he says. However, what has given him immense aesthetic satisfaction of late is his work for the film 'Ramante Edanthottam' directed by Ranjit Shankar.

"The costumes of Raman and Malini played by Kunchacko Boban and Anu Sithara respectively in the film have been artistically rich and it gives immense pleasure to see the design and style of the costumes spill outside the film and become popular among the general public," Arun says.

All the same, the costume in a film becomes a success only when many other factors including make-up, ambience, props, backdrop and so on are equally conducive to the visual brilliance, he says.
