Fashion for philanthropy: Utsav returns to Kottayam, Kochi

Utsav Kottayam will be held at the Benjamin Bailey Hall in Chalukunnu.

Kottayam: Utsav, the annual designer exhibition-cum-sale, organised by the Kottayam Ladies Circle 48, is back. From saris, kurtis, western wear and children’s apparel to jewellery, footwear and home décor, the 17th edition of the expo will feature stunning collections from award-winning designers from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mysore.

The Utsav 2022 line-up includes designer stalls like Bhomra, Ange by OKJ Signet, Marm, Silkworm Boutique and Women Traditions, among others.

This year too, the organisers have pledged all proceeds of the event for charity projects like building schools for differently-abled children. The Ladies Circle also funds the building of classrooms and washrooms in schools and activities to support waste management. Last year, the Kottayam Ladies Circle No 48 carried out charity projects worth over Rs 12 lakh.

Utsav Kottayam will be held at the Benjamin Bailey Hall in Chalukunnu on November 23 and 24. The exhibition will be open from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm.

Utsav Kochi will be held at the Taj Gateway, Marine Drive on November 26, from 9:30 am to 8 pm. Entry is free.
