The elegant house of Muhammed Rafi, an expatriate, stands on a 9 cents narrow plot in Azhiyur near Mahe. The elevation of the house is specially designed to suit the structure of the plot. The family had demanded that there should be abundant supply of natural light and air, and that the house should be easy to maintain. The structure has been designed with enough open spaces. The elegance of the white hue dominates the exteriors and the interiors. A touch of military green shade enhances the chic look of the exteriors.
There are living and dining areas, kitchen and four bedrooms in this house which has an area of 2400 sqft. The interiors are not overcrowded with décor or harsh colors. This makes it easier to maintain the house. The house is designed without adding many interior walls and this feature ensures excellent ventilation.
