Pradeep Nair and Dhanya named their dream abode at Vellayani in Thriuvananthapuram as ‘Sivamadhavam’ to sum up the fabulous dwelling built in contemporary style. A blend of contemporary and modern architectural styles is the highlight of the interiors. The elevation is in the box style and has wall tiles and stone cladding in elegant grey hue. The car porch designed in the cantilever style, without the support of pillars, looks spectacular.

Sprawled in 5500 sq ft area, the splendid mansion has a spacious car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, five bedrooms, kitchen, upper living area, home theatre and a balcony.

The interior spaces are designed on both sides of a long corridor. The wooden flooring in the corridor also acts as an indicator which leads to the rooms and other spaces in the house.

The formal living area, designed in triple height, is incredibly vaster and spacious. Here, a wall is amazingly highlighted with laterite stone cladding.

The family living area and the dining space are part of the open hall. This spacious area is the soul of the interiors. A fine blend of attractive wall papers, unique textures and elegant claddings adorn this area. Meanwhile, the family living area too has a double-heighted ceiling. Lots of windows have been installed here to usher in the pleasant sunshine and cool breeze into the interiors.

The lower part of the handrails of the stairway blends into the TV wall in the formal living area. Interestingly, half of the stairway has been designed in the charming floating style. The handrails, meanwhile, have the additional safety feature of toughened glass as well.

One could get to the patio from the dining area through a door here. A sitting space too has been arranged close to this door.

The kitchen has a flush of colour as it is furnished in the wooden – blue colour theme with glass finish. Meanwhile, Korean stone has been paved on the counter top and the back splash as well.

The bedrooms feature unique designs and are extremely attractive. There are two bedrooms in the ground floor while three are in the upper storey. Parents’ and guest bedrooms are furnished minimally while the rest of them have attached-bathrooms and full length wardrobes.

The couple has three kids and the upper living area has been designed as a spacious study area as well. Besides, there is a home theatre-cum-entertainment room in this floor.

The family is extremely spiritual and wants to fill their house with the positive vibes. Lots of idols and a strikingly decorated pooja space are the highlights here. Sivamadhavam is a mesmerizing abode which has been conceived as per the dreams and likes of the family members.
