A grand, imperial mansion in Kozhikode exuding design brilliance
The serene charm of the white hue is the highlight of the exteriors.

Ismail, an expatriate, is proud and elated to share his experiences of building a grand mansion at his hometown in Iringannur near Vadakara in Kozhikode, Kerala. The family wanted a majestic and spacious mansion that stands out from the other houses in the locality. They chose the colonial architecture which blends classic style with chic elegance as the theme of their dream abode.

The structure is built by leaving lots of space in the front so that the regal look of the elevation could be viewed in all its grandness. Tandoor stones and lush green lawns make the landscape look incredibly attractive. Meanwhile, the gate and the compound wall too feature the colonial elements to match the elevation of the house.

The serene charm of the white hue is the highlight of the exteriors. The double heightened car porch that projects from the façade is what grants a mesmerizing look to the mansion. The slope roof has been paved with mud tiles. The inner walls too don the white colour theme.

This fabulous abode that sprawls in 4300 sqft has a car porch, sit out, formal and family living area, dining space, courtyard, prayer space, and kitchen with work area, five bedrooms, upper living area and a balcony.

The Italian marbles add a regal touch to the flooring. Meanwhile, the furniture and panelling has exquisite teak wood finish. Interestingly, most of the furniture pieces are imported.

The formal living area with a double height ceiling is just beside the entrance door. The TV unit too has been separated here. A semi glass partition is installed to ensure privacy. Meanwhile, the courtyard beside the living area has sitting spaces too

Most of the areas in the interiors have double height ceiling. This makes the spaces look impeccably vaster. Besides, they are arranged in a way to allow amazing communication and connectivity between both the floors.

The huge stairway and its beautiful hand railings are the highlight of the interiors. The hand railings feature the classic combination of teak wood and glass. The stairway begins from the spacious dining area. The extremely spacious upper living area, meanwhile, is decorated with false ceiling in gypsum and plywood and warm toned lighting. This grants a pleasant and comfortable ambience to the interiors.

The bedrooms are spacious and have attached bathrooms, wardrobes, separate dressing spaces and sitting areas. The unique headboard panelling is what makes the bedrooms stand out. Besides, each bedroom has been furnished in unique themes too.

The modern kitchen features the classic black and white theme. Meanwhile, the cabinets are done in marine ply and glass finish. The counter top has been paved with Korean stone. An adjacent work area too has been arranged as part of the kitchen.

The house-warming ritual was celebrated and the family moved into this mega mansion just before the lockdown was announced. The family is glad that they could share their happiness with their relatives and friends and celebrate with them. Those who came for the function had showered praises on the family for building such an enchanting mansion.
