Can there be a better gift for sister? This Thrissur house is unique

Thrissur house
Simple and elegant, this contemporary house in Thrissur celebrates brotherly love.

This fabulous abode built in the countryside of Kizhuppillikara in Thrissur, Kerala, is the perfect gift designed by brothers for their only sister. The ‘L’ shaped house that stands in 65 cents was constructed after demolishing the old house. The old house had stood close to the road. So, after demolishing it, the new house now has ample front yard.

The elegant blend of modern and contemporary styles is the highlight of this house. The tile paved front yard and the stone cladding on the pillars are extremely eye catching.

Designed in 2830 sqft, this amazing abode has a sit out, formal and family living areas, dining area, show kitchen and a working kitchen and four bedrooms. Simple yet elegant interiors exude positive vibes. The family had already decided that the car porch shouldn’t be built close the house in the front. So, a car porch and an adjacent sit out that has an area of 40 sqft have been built on the side where it cannot be easily spotted from the front. The car porch is spacious enough to accommodate at least two vehicles.

The family living area and the dining space are designed in double height. This makes the interiors look and feel extremely spacious. The bridge structure which leads to the terrace also acts as a design element. The huge windows on the double height walls bring lots of natural sunshine into the house. Furniture from the old house has been reused here by giving them fresh coats of polish.

All the bedrooms are bath attached. The cots from the old house have been modified to reuse them here. Unique claddings and paneling on the headrest make the bedrooms stand out.
