Raj’s brand new house in a 6.5 cents plot in Chelavur in Kozhikode district stands out for its unique exteriors that don a classy grey and white color theme. Beautiful interiors with elaborate furnishings and classy features are in fact the highlight of this house. Designed in 2750 sqft, this amazing abode has a sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining area, pooja space, kitchen with a work area and three bedrooms.
Designed in an open style, the interiors look incredibly vaster. Meanwhile, the custom-made furniture complements the general theme of the house. Italian marble has been mostly paved on the floor in the common areas. Interestingly, elegant Jaisalmer stones too have been used for flooring in some areas.
One could catch an easy glance of the elegant pooja space as soon as the entrance door is opened. A wall has been highlighted with natural stone claddings and the floor is paved with pebbles to separate this area.
An exposed brick wall, painted in a serene white hue, dons a spectacular Buddha painting that grants an enchanting ambience to the formal living area. It is a traditional hanging cot that separates the open-style formal and family living areas. The family living area, meanwhile, is a few feet below the floor level. A TV unit too has been arranged here.
The dining table that has a bench on one side is simple yet elegant. The adjacent wash area is embellished with classy stone claddings.
The stairway leads to a spacious upper hall which is used as a training area by Raj’s wife. There is a patio here which is tantamount to a balcony. This space has a GI glass roof and in – built sitting spaces. Now, this patio has become the family’s favorite spot where they like to spend their evenings.
There are two bedrooms in the ground floor while three are in the upper storey. The bath attached bedrooms have in – built wardrobes for storage. The walls are highlighted with attractive wall paper.
The kitchen cupboards are done in plywood with mica finish. The counter top, meanwhile, has been granite.
The interiors look and feel so spacious that the guests often forget that this house has been built on a smaller plot.
