The weather conditions in Kerala have now become extremely unpredictable with untimely rain showers and the temperatures soaring to unbearable levels during the summer. So, the houses too need to be constructed in a way which helps in efficiently tackling such changing weather. This brand new house on the side of the Cherplassery – Perinthalmanna main road in Malappuram district is a smartly constructed house that easily adjusts to the climate of the area. The house stands on a raised plot that was filled with rocks and boulders. However, this was levelled to make it fit for construction.
The contemporary style elevation is chic and stylish. The grey cladding on the wall breaks the monotony of the plain white walls. Meanwhile, the highlight of the exteriors is the beautiful cantilever show wall. Besides adding a charming grace to the elevation, this feature blocks the harsh sun rays and rain showers from entering the house.
Designed in 4200 sqft, this fabulous mansion has a car porch, sit out, formal and family living areas, dining area, kitchen with a work area, four bedrooms, upper living space, library, and a balcony. Even though the house looks like a double-storied structure from outside, there is a mezzanine floor too.
The interiors are designed in a semi-open style. This makes the spaces look and feel vaster. Besides, it ensures amazing communication between the spaces too. A TV unit has been arranged in the living area. The unique dining table with nano white top and cushioned chairs is an interesting designer piece.
The wooden deck and the green courtyard beneath the double-height stairway is a fabulous addition.

These have been placed at the right spots to ensure amazing air circulation inside the house. The family members say that they feel happy and relaxed when they enter the house, after a tiring day at work.
