Dr. Rafiq’s brand new house at Achanambalam near Vengara in Malappuram, Kerala attracts attention for its unique design features and classy elevation.
The structure that stands on a 30 cents plot has been built by leaving space for a vast front yard that is paved with tandoor stones and verdant lawns. Interestingly, the car porch has been built at a 45-degree angle so that the charming grace of the elevation could be enjoyed from the road in all its glory. The twin show walls are the highlights of the elevation. The show wall beside the car porch has a natural stone finish while the show wall on the other side has a laterite cladding finish. The slanting roof has been paved with roofing tiles.
Designed in 3580 sqft, this fabulous abode has a car porch, sit out, living and dining areas, kitchen with a work area, four bedrooms, prayer room and an upper living area. Vitrified tiles have been paved on the floor here. Meanwhile, the custom-made furniture perfectly suits the theme of the house.
The dining area designed in double-height is the liveliest spot in the house. The folding doors here open to the courtyard and the porch. This courtyard is also the play area for the kids.
The walls in the dining area are lined with lots of windows to bring natural sunshine into the house.
Two bedrooms each have been arranged in both the floors. The bath attached bedrooms have wardrobes and dressing spaces too.
The compact kitchen has everything arranged within the hand’s reach. The cabinets, meanwhile, are done in the plywood and laminate finish. The countertop has been paved with granite. Besides, a quaint breakfast counter too has been arranged as part of the kitchen.
Interestingly, the compound walls follow the designer elements of the elevation to achieve that perfect harmony. The elevation and the compound walls are fitted with profile lights to highlight the unique features. The house shines against the twilight sky when these highlighter lights are switched on.
