Muhammad Thekkayil, an expatriate, is proud that he has built his dream abode at his hometown in Vadakara in Kozhikode. He is an active member of the community whenever he is home for the holidays. Lots of guests often visit his house to meet Muhammad. So, he wanted a classy abode that suits his needs. Designer Muhammed Najim deserves credit for designing such a grand abode that has become a major landmark in the area.
The elevation features a majestic colonial style. The truss roof that is installed above the flat roof has been paved with exquisite imported roofing tiles.
Interestingly, the gate and the compound wall too follow the colonial theme to compliment the grand elevation. Meanwhile, the front yard has been paved with natural stones. The verdant lawns and the beautiful garden add a unique charm to the structure. Besides the car porch that has been built as part of the structure, there is a detached porch built on the model of the house.
Designed in 4700 sqft, this luxury mansion has a car porch, sit out, formal and family living areas, dining space, courtyard, prayer room, kitchen, four bedrooms, upper living area and a balcony.
The wooden panelled walls are the highlight of the long sit out. The interiors, meanwhile, exude regal elegance that enchant the visitors.
The classy elegance of the Italian marble flooring is really impressive. The fabulous furniture pieces are specially imported from Malaysia. Meanwhile, the warm tone lights that fills the interiors with impeccable ambience were brought from Dubai.
The royal stairway is magnificent and attracts instant attention. The 3 D cutting works on teak wood make this stairway an incredible designer piece. The courtyard is arranged just beside the stair area. The stone cladding on the wall here adds an interesting element of contrast. A wooden hanging cot too has been arranged in the courtyard to make it a comfortable spot.
Two bedrooms each have been arranged in both the floors. The bedrooms are spacious and are luxuriously furnished. The cots boast of intricate carvings and designer works. Meanwhile, the head board is decorated with attractive resin cladding. The bath attached bedrooms have in – built wardrobes and separate dressing spaces too.
Muhammad’s wife wanted two kitchens as lots of guests and relatives visit the family whenever he is home during the holidays.
The island kitchen is chic and modern. The cabinets done in glass finish add a graceful sheen to the kitchen area. Moreover, Korean stone has been paved on the counter top. Meanwhile, the second kitchen has been furnished in acrylic finish.
The splendid features of the marvellous structure get highlighted when the outer lights are switched at twilight. The guests are so overwhelmed by the mind-blowing designs and amenities that they feel as if they have entered an Arabian palace. Meanwhile, Muhammad and his family are thrilled that their grand mansion has become the talk of the town.
