Businessman Nazar decided to build a brand – new house at his plot in Aduvaserry in Ernakulam when the family wasn’t happy with the limited facilities at their old house.
They wanted a simple yet elegant single storey house with three bedrooms. However, the owner insisted on having a fabulous elevation that features a unique look. That is what inspired the architect to give the elevation the timeless look of the classy colonial architectural style.
GI truss roof has been installed over the flat roof. This single paved roof grants a majestic colonial elegance to the elevation. Interestingly, the area between the two roofs could be used as an attic space. Besides a small sitting space, the rest of the area has been turned into multi-utility area.
Designed in 2455 sqft, this fabulous abode has a car porch, sit out, formal and family living areas, dining space, courtyard, kitchen with a work area and three bedrooms. The open and well-ventilated areas are the highlight of the interiors. This makes the spaces look and feel vaster.
From the long sit-out, one could enter spacious hall. The open spaces are incredible and allow good ventilation too. Vitrified tiles have been paved on the floors. Meanwhile, granite is used for flooring in the sit out.
The spacious courtyard is incredibly attractive. The pergola skylight here welcomes natural sunshine into the house. The courtyard floor is paved with synthetic grass and shiny pebbles add the perfect contrast here.
The kitchen opens to the dining area. The partition also acts as a quaint breakfast counter. The high chairs, meanwhile, add chic glamour to this area.
The bath attached bedrooms are spacious and have wardrobes for storage. Besides, separate dressing spaces too have been arranged here. Interestingly, each bedroom is highlighted with unique colour tones.
Nazar and his family are joyous that they have got the perfect abode of their dreams.
