Roy, an expatriate, had always dreamed to build a house of his own at his hometown in Changanassery. However, the 11 cents plot that he had owned was narrow in the backside and was a slope too. Interestingly, his brand–new house has been built to suit the unique layout of the plot.
The contemporary flat box style has been adopted for the elevation to make the house extremely space-efficient. The double-height wall on one side is highlighted with groves and is painted in classic grey shade.
Designed in 2333 sqft, this amazing abode has a car porch, living and dining areas, kitchen with a work area and four bedrooms.
The formal living area has been uniquely arranged to ensure privacy. Meanwhile, the TV unit is arranged on an adjacent wall that is highlighted with attractive wallpaper. The classy cushioned couch with bright blue upholstery work adds the perfect contrast here.
The custom-made furniture gels well with the general theme of the house. The flooring done in vitrified tiles looks splendid. Meanwhile, granite has been paved on the sit-out floor and on the stairway. The stainless hand railings complete the simple yet elegant staircase.
The dining table is arranged in a spacious area, with a double-height ceiling, just beside the stairway.
The multi wood kitchen cabinets look chic and compact. Granite has been paved on the countertop. Interestingly, wooden tiles have been used on the floor in the kitchen. Moreover, a quaint breakfast counter too is arranged in the spacious kitchen.
The bedrooms are designed in unique themes by highlighting the head side walls in beautiful shades of colour. The bath attached bedrooms have in–built wardrobes for storage and study spaces too.
Roy, who couldn’t reach Kerala, oversaw the construction of his dream abode via video calls. Now, the joyous family is eager to spend some spectacular moments in their new house.
