The grand palatial mansion owned by expatriate businessman OP Shaji in his hometown in Vailathur, Tirur in Kerala is an awe-inspiring structure that leaves no stone unturned when it comes to luxury. The mega mansion named ‘OPS Mansion’ exudes the enchanting elegance of royal – colonial architectural styles.
The scintillating landscape is what attracts attention as soon as one enters the premises. The vast landscape is truly spectacular and perfectly complements the regal elevation of the mansion. Classic paving stones have been used on the long drive that begins at the gate. Meanwhile, the fabulous fountain is the centre piece of the beautiful landscape. The garden has many types of plants, trees and bushes, adding pleasant greenery against the pristine white of the elevation. A gazebo and an outdoor sitting space too have been arranged for small parties and gatherings.
The majestic elevation in white resembles a royal palace. The marvellous carvings, long pillars, the multiple domes paved with shingles and the glorious minarets makes the elevation look astonishingly beautiful and regal.
The entrance door opens to the spectacular royal hall. One cannot help but gasp in wonder at the grand imperial staircase with divided flights.
The double height ceilings make the interiors look and feel incredibly vaster. Besides, the designer carving works on the walls, classy furnishing done in exquisite timber and the regal chandeliers and elegant light fittings in golden hue are truly glorious. Meanwhile, the Italian marble flooring adds to the luxurious look of the interiors.
The imperial staircase, which is the most amazing highlight of the interiors, also acts as an interesting designer element that separates the spaces around the central hall. The fabulous alloy hand railings that don attractive design works radiate splendid grace of a regal Arabian mansion.
The spacious dining area has been arranged in the right side of the staircase. The designer dining table can easily accommodate up to twelve guests. The wall is highlighted with attractive wall paper and a crockery space too have been arranged here. Interestingly, the wash basin in the wash area looks like an exquisite golden dish.
There is a mini dining room, adjacent to this dining hall. A second dining area has been arranged to accommodate guests as the family often hosts parties.
The family living area is designed behind the staircase, ensuring privacy. A TV unit and majestic furniture pieces complete this area. This cosy area is the family’s favourite spot to spend time. The walls are decorated with splendid wallpapers that adds sophistication and charm to this area. Meanwhile, the mesmerizingly designed prayer area exudes a divine elegance.
The bedrooms boast of opulence and luxury that can give any deluxe resort a run for their money. The spectacularly spacious bedrooms have been designed in multiple variations of the royal theme.
The majestic cots in the bedrooms are quite eye catching. The false ceiling with extraordinary designer works, warm toned LED lighting, chandeliers, sitting spaces, separate work stations, attached bathrooms, walk – in wardrobes and dressing spaces are some of the amazing amenities in the bedrooms.
The imperial staircase leads to a spacious upper living area that is elegantly furnished. Luxurious furniture pieces, comfortable couches, designer tables and matching curtain fittings make this area look incredibly beautiful. Interestingly, the splendid designer hand railings of the staircase extend to the upper floor too.
The dome shaped triple height ceiling is the highlight here. The golden chandelier, meanwhile, shines as a fitting centre piece. A spectacular view of the ground floor, in all its glory, could be enjoyed from this spot.
The bedrooms in the upper floor follows the same regal theme of the ground floor bedrooms.
The long party hall, designed as a mini auditorium, is an interesting addition. This is the perfect area to host family functions or small business meetings.
Interestingly, this area has seating arrangements done in separate sets, just as in a regular auditorium. A raised platform that could be used as a dais too has been built as part of this mini auditorium. The long lighting on the ceiling that runs parallel to the length of the hall is what grants a luxurious look to this area. A multi gym too has been arranged adjacent to this party hall.
The spacious balcony and the open terrace are the perfect areas from where the striking views of the beautiful landscape and the entrance area could be enjoyed.
The island kitchen is modern and chic. Besides the main kitchen and the show kitchen, there is an adjacent work area too. The walls here are highlighted with classic grey coloured ceramic cladding.
The stately mansion offers unique views from the three sides of the vast landscape. The highlighter lights on the exterior walls and the garden adds more dimension and grace to the mansion during the night. The family, meanwhile, is proud that their dream abode has become the talk of the town with its luxurious features and mesmerizing designer elements.
