Asif’s chic abode at Vadanappally, Thrissur pays homage to the splendid elegance of contemporary architecture. Moreover, the house has been designed as a haven of greenery. The elevation features linear box patterns, beautiful cladding works, GI louvers and glass.
Noted architect Sanil Chacko was roped in after the family was impressed by the beautiful homes of Asif’s relatives that were designed by him. Interestingly, the house stands in a 20 cents barren land. The landscape too was designed along with the construction of the house. This made the landscape look incredibly attractive and perfectly complements the structure.
Designed in 3600 sqft, this marvellous mansion has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, four courtyards, kitchen with an adjacent work area and two bedrooms on the ground floor. Meanwhile, the upper floor has a living area, two bedrooms and an open terrace too.
The four courtyards that bring in oodles of natural light and cool breeze are the highlights of the interiors. The open ceilings are secured with GI grille and glass.
The custom-made cushioned furniture pieces in blue and grey shades, in the formal living area, exudes classy elegance. The curtain fittings, coffee table and wall hangings elevate the contemporary look of the area. Wooden tiles have been used for flooring in the family living area. A grey-coloured couch and a TV unit complete this area.
The dining area which has a double-height ceiling looks incredibly vaster. There is a courtyard right next to the dining space. This area could be turned into a spacious hall if the glass door to the courtyard is opened. The glass top adds a glossy finish to the dining table. Meanwhile, the wash area is arranged close to another courtyard.
The ‘U’ shaped kitchen is designed in the classic white, grey and wooden theme. The cabinets are done in multi wood–mica finish. The countertop, meanwhile, has been paved with nano white. A quaint breakfast counter and pantry with lots of cabinets too are part of the spacious kitchen.
The walls of the bedrooms mostly don graceful shades of grey. The bath-attached bedrooms have wardrobes for storage. Meanwhile, the head side walls are highlighted with beautiful wallpapers.
The upper living area has been designed as a reading area where you could relax.
The family is delighted that the architect has designed the perfect abode where contemporary features merge with calming greenery.
