Mineesa, a lawyer decided to pull down their ancestral home that stood in a 6 cents plot in Kayamkulam as time had begun taking a toll on the three and half decade old structure. Meanwhile, the new structure has been designed to suit this rectangular plot.

The elevation features a contemporary tropical style which is quite trendy. The quaint front yard is paved with natural stones and shiny pebbles. The old well is an attractive feature in the newly designed landscape. However, it was given a makeover in order to go well with the brand-new structure.

Designed in 1830 sqft, this amazing abode has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, courtyard, dining area, prayer area, kitchen with a work area and two bedrooms on the ground floor. Meanwhile, the upper floor has a living space, library, two more bedrooms and a balcony too.

The entrance door opens to a compact yet well furnished formal living area. The wall here is highlighted with natural stone cladding. From here one could enter the family living area where the TV has been installed.

The dining area and the kitchen are designed in the open theme. A counter is what separate the kitchen from the dining space. Meanwhile, the customized light fittings add glamour to this area. The kitchen is lined with lots of cupboards for storage. Moreover, there is an adjacent work area too.

The beautiful courtyard is the soul of the house. Interestingly, the walls of the courtyard are built using Hurudees blocks. Meanwhile, the pergola glass ceiling illuminates the area with natural sunshine. Interestingly, the wash area is arranged here. The indoor plants grant an elegant ambience to the courtyard.

The staircase leads to a quaint study area and a library with in – built sitting area. The bedroom on the upper floor is connected to a balcony. The room gets filled with cool breeze and sunlight through this balcony. Besides, there is another balcony which is quite spacious.

The family’s friends and relatives say that the house looks so fabulous that it doesn’t seem like the structure stands on such a small plot. Meanwhile, the golden highlighter lights make the house shine against the twilight sky.
