Tucked into the bucolic environs of Neelamperoor in Alappuzha district is the two-storey house of Vijesh Kumar that epitomises a dreamy dwelling on a moderate budget. While designer Adithya Das has blended contemporary style with space efficiency, engineer Jaydeep ensured strength and reasonable cost of the building.

The materials used in the construction were the best available and vouched for durability and strength. The cement (Ultra Tech), steel (Tata Steel), sanitary ware (Parryware, Jaquar), electrical materials (Legrand) and tiles (RAK and Kajaria) all provided the required finish and toughness to the structure.

With an elevation that mixes traditional and contemporary styles, the house features a unique design exuding simplicity and elegance. Interiors trap natural light and gush of fresh air from the open green field in the surroundings.

All the rooms are typically structured in 140 sq ft area. Open kitchen, wooden-finish staircase are other noticeable features of the house.

The structure that stands on a 2195 sq ft area has two bedrooms (one of them bath attached), a living room, dining space, a modular kitchen, a working kitchen and a sit-out on the ground floor. There is also a common bathroom here. Meanwhile, the upper floor has a bath-attached bedroom, a living area and a balcony.

A contemporary house with a pleasant design and all the modern amenities that come within a moderate budget is the highlight of this smartly designed home.
