Classy interiors make this Adoor home a perfect designer abode

Ashiq and Akash, brothers who have settled abroad, are delighted to build their dream abode near Parakkode near Adoor at Pathanamthitta, Kerala. The house, designed in 2900 sqft, features the chic elements of contemporary architecture as well as the classy traditional designs. Moreover, the tropical designer elements make it fit for the unique climate of Kerala.

The elevation has flat roof on one side and a slightly sloped roof on the other side. Interestingly, the elevation stands out for the fabulous colour palette that instant draws attention. The structure has been built using solid cement blocks. Meanwhile, the outer walls are highlighted with texture paint. The well too has been completed in the same design pattern.

Cement paving tiles are used on the front yard, granting a clean look. Meanwhile, the pearl grass lawn has a beautiful garden too.

The house has a sit-out, formal and family living areas, four bedrooms and bathrooms, dining area, courtyard, open kitchen and a balcony. The interiors are designed in the semi-open theme. Interestingly, a prayer unit has been separated close to the family living area using a partition. Meanwhile, the dining area is arranged in the centre of the house. The beautiful courtyard is just beside the dining space. Lots of interesting curios and unique showpieces have been used to decorate the interiors.

The entrance door opens to the formal living area in double height. A custom-made blue coloured couch adorns this area. Meanwhile, exquisite furniture pieces crafted in teak wood are used in the family living area.

The staircase is done in RCC with beautiful teakwood panelling. The wash area is arranged beneath the staircase to make the interiors space efficient.

The bedrooms are minimal to make maintenance easier. Lots of storage space have been included in the rooms. Besides, separate dressing areas too are arranged in the bedrooms. Meanwhile, there is a hall. which could be used as a multi-utility space, the master bedroom and an open terrace on the upper floor.

A quaint breakfast unit and a crockery unit are what separate the kitchen from the dining area. The cabinets here are done in plywood with mica laminate finish. Nano white is paved on the countertop. Besides, a multipurpose sink too is arranged to make the modern kitchen complete.

The construction of this fabulous house, including the structure and the furnishing, was completed on a budget of Rs 75 lakh. The structure was built for Rs 45 lakh and up to Rs 30 lakh was spent for the interiors and furnishing.
