Arun’s family had built this spacious 2200 sq ft house, in 11 cents, in the heart of Thodupuzha town, in 1980. Although the house still looked elegant, time had taken a toll on the structure. The family didn’t have the heart to pull down the house as they were emotionally attached to it. So, they decided to renovate the house by retaining its soul. Now, the house looks brand new while the memories associated with it are still intact.

Natural stones, paving stones, verdant lawns and beautiful garden make the landscape look classy while the house glimmers when the modern light fittings are switched on. The renovated house has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, courtyard, kitchen with a work area, three bath attached bedrooms and a home theatre too.

The entrance door opens to the formal living area where the spectacular fusion of wooden furnishing and white colour theme grants a regal elegance. Meanwhile, the Buddha figurine and the pooja space in the courtyard fill the interiors with positive energy.

The windows on the right side open to a quaint courtyard in the front. Besides the main kitchen, there is an adjacent work area too. The minimal designs in the interiors add a unique charm to the house. Meanwhile, the home theatre on the upper floor is the highlight here.

Adding huge glass windows of the structure played a pivotal role in altering the shape of the elevation. The open terrace, meanwhile, is adorned with ornamental plants, adding a touch of greenery. This house is a fabulous example where traditional elegance meets modern vibes.
