Let's get a sneak peek at the beautiful home of Vimal and Divya in Channanikadu, Kottayam. The stunning house opens to breathtaking views of a lush green paddy field. Built on a 10-cent plot of irregular shape, the house offers diverse perspectives from different sides, making it apt to be described as a 'three-faced house'.

Spanning 3100 square feet, the house features a porch, formal living room, family living room, courtyard, dining area, kitchen, work area, patio, two bedrooms (one each on the ground and upper floor), attached bathrooms, an upper living area, and a balcony. Including the attic space on the top floor, the total area is approximately 4300 square feet.

A significant highlight is the large jaali (lattice) work incorporated into the elevation to regulate heat. A courtyard is set within this jaali, preventing external heat from entering the house.

The main door opens into the formal living room. A glass sliding door leads to the courtyard - the main highlight of the house. Indoor plants enhance its beauty and contribute to a pleasant indoor climate.

At the heart of the home, a Krishna statue is beautifully showcased with LED lighting. Adjacent to this is the family living room with a TV unit. The dining space opens onto a patio offering paddy field views. The kitchen, designed with a brown and grey colour theme, features a breakfast table. A tall unit maximizes storage space, and a utility area is also included.

The upstairs balcony provides a stunning view of the paddy field, making it a favourite spot for the homeowners. Due to the plot's proximity to the paddy field, additional costs were incurred for the foundation. High-quality materials were used in the furnishing. The total cost of the house, including structure and furnishings, was approximately Rupees 1.3 crore.
